Leslie Jamison Wins 2025 Hilary Weston International Award
On June 18, Writers’ Trust of Canada announced that American author and essayist Leslie Jamison has been named the winner of the 2025 Hilary Weston International Award. The $75,000 award, launched in 2023, honours the career achievement of an international author for an outstanding body of work in literary nonfiction. The Hilary Weston International Award and its companion prize, the Canadian-focused Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction, are the largest prizes for nonfiction in Canada, and are among the largest in the world. The Weston International Award is generously supported by The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation.
